Junior 6+: Hop on the back! Are you picking up your child from school or taking him or her to the grandparents? Even if your child can ride a bike, it's a good idea to have a sturdy rear seat on your bike. A seat that is safe and fits properly.
The Qibbel Junior 6+ is suitable for children ages 6 and up, with a maximum weight of 27 pounds. Ask your bicycle mechanic if your bike rack can support this weight. This rear seat is extra strong, equipped with a safety belt and folding footrests, and thanks to the soft seat cushion your child won't want to get out!

Does your bike have a MIK HD rack? Fantastic!
In a few seconds you can easily click the bike seat onto the frame of the MIK HD carrier. NOTE: When installing a rear bike seat with a MIK HD rack mount, it is crucial that you make sure the rack is a MIK HD (Heavy Duty) model. The MIK HD is a different system than the regular MIK. MIK HD is specifically designed to carry heavier loads, such as a rear bike seat. MIK HD bike seats are therefore only compatible with MIK HD (Heavy Duty) bike racks.
Foldable footrests
Bike footrests come standard with every Qibbel Junior seat. These footrests are also easy to mount at the correct height on the frame of your bike. Just tighten a few nuts and you're ready to go. How convenient! The bike footrests have non-slip coating for added safety, but please remind your child that his or her feet are close to the wheel when you ride. When your rear seat is empty, you can easily fold the footrests back in.
How to attach the footrests?
Check that your frame has a tube diameter of 12 to 27 millimeters. This is a requirement for mounting. Use a size 5 hex wrench to tighten the nuts.
Protect your child from moving parts
Foot guards come standard with the Qibbel Junior 6+ seat. The unique foot guards fit all Qibbel footrests. Simply push the guards over the footrest and you're ready to go. The foot guards can be placed in a high or low position to ensure each child is optimally protected.
How should you attach the foot guards?
For optimal safety, we always recommend installing the foot guards. These can be easily slid over the footrests, after which they are fixed in place. If you want to attach the protection plate even more securely, you can use the extra spaces on the outside of the plate to attach it to the frame with cable ties.
Want to easily swap the seat between mom's bike and grandpa's? No problem! With a pair of extra footrests and/or foot guards (sold separately) on the second bike, your child will sit comfortably and safely on the back.
